Abstract:
This article analyses the perceptions of teenage mothers (TMs) and women of reproductive age (WRAs) in the Air France neighbourhood of Bouaké (Ivory Coast) regarding e-health as a tool for empowering decision-making in the area of sexual and reproductive health (SRH). The study employs a quantitative approach. Data were collected in April 2026 via a questionnaire administered to 101 participants (47 women of reproductive age, 48 teenage girls, 5 midwives, and 1 chief physician). The data were analysed using Sphinx Plus 5 software, supplemented by a correspondence factor analysis (CFA). The results show that audio formats (64 mentions out of 198) and short videos (62 mentions) are the most popular media. This preference is linked to the difficulty of understanding technical language (57 mentions) and the high cost of internet access (52 mentions). Digital social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and TikTok play a central role in the search for information related to SRH. Ultimately, e-health is perceived as a useful complement to human interaction, but not a substitute for it. Its implementation requires adapting content to local sociocultural realities, particularly linguistic ones. Keywords: digital communication; e-health; sexual and reproductive health; perception; correspondence analysis.
